• UN Women, 2020: Amidst the ongoing armed conflict in Yemen, women face added challenges due to COVID-19. This initiative highlights their critical role as peacebuilders and frontline defenders, emphasizing the urgent need for their voices to be heard.

• Created the communication strategy for the Post-2015 Partnership Platform for Philanthropy.

• As a Regional Gender Advisor, Kawkab al-Thaibani led gender-related activities across the MENA region, conducting comprehensive gender analyses in media and conflict for Syria, Iraq, and Yemen. She developed and implemented gender-specific conflict analyses and contributed to the MENA Gender Review while training Palestinian refugees, Syrian women journalists, and Yemeni field researchers. Her work focused on fostering gender mainstreaming, enhancing field research methodologies, and creating actionable strategies to address gender issues in these conflict-affected countries.

1. Advocacy and Capacity Building in Yemen:

   As an Advocacy, Communications, and Gender Advisor, Kawkab developed strategies promoting human rights and accountability. She played a key role in creating the Justice4Yemen Pact, the first organized coalition demanding justice and equality since the onset of conflict, successfully building networks for accountability.
   

2. Advocacy for Human Rights-Based Advocacy Against Corruption

   As an Advocacy Advisor for anti-corruption projects, Kawkab developed comprehensive training modules on accountability and human rights mechanisms. She mentored legal professionals and civil society leaders, empowering them to advocate effectively for human rights.

Kawkab Al-Thaibani is a skilled trainer and mentor with extensive experience across various organizations, including UN Women Global, where she delivers high-quality training and develops design manuals for the MENA region and Sudan.

Her notable contributions include:
